Sunday, April 11, 2021, our Mount Pleasant Baptist Church family will celebrate the 152nd Church Anniversary. Of course, due to COVID-19, our celebration will take on another look this year and Pastor Mosley will share a few details with us on Sunday. This year, 2021, we want to demonstrate our gratitude to God through THANKS and GIVING. Giving THANKS to the Lord for his provision, protection and love for us and HIS church. And GIVING to those less fortunate than we are through several outreach projects. Details on proposed outreach projects will be shared once confirmation of needs is received from various local schools, organizations and shelters. Of course, we will continue to follow CDC guidelines during this celebration and outreach. STAY TUNED!
We need a THEME for this year's church anniversary celebration. Please submit your suggested theme, along with corresponding scripture, via email (mountpleasantbaptistchurch1931@gmail.com) or drop off on Sunday morning.
Please let's continue to pray for our sick and shut-in and the bereaved families.
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (NIV)
LORD JESUS CHRIST, HEALER of all diseases and our
GREAT PHYSICIAN of all times,
we intercede for all those who are in traumatic condition
not knowing the depth of their illness.
We pray and ask You to come and take Your place in spirit
in the doctors, nurses and specialists, who will aid them in medical needs.
We believe nothing is impossible in Your hands of POWER,
in Your hands of HEALING
and in Your heart of
LOVE, MERCY and COMPASSION.
"Because I'm blessed
Help me to bless somebody else
Somebody else
Bless somebody else"
I know, I know, I know
God has been faithful, Every day
And I believe, I believe, I believe
God's hand is on my life
God has proven that he's faithful
For eternity I will be grateful
Blessed me so much
How can I keep it all to myself oh Lord
God I promise every time you bless
I'm gonna bless somebody else. . . . " Kurt Carr
